China WindPower activates 5 new plants

Five new power plants of China WindPower kicked off on-grid power generation last month.

The five wind power plants, which are well connected to the power grid, were Fuxin Huashun WindPower Ltd., Fuxin Julonghu WindPower Ltd., Fuxin Qianfoshan WindPower Ltd., Fuxin Juhe WindPower Ltd. and Tongliao Taihe WindPower Ltd. They are all equipped with 1.5 MW wind turbines with automatic pitch and yaw control. Each wind power plant has an installed capacity of 49.5MW.

As at the end of December 2009, China Wind Power had 12 wind power plants in operation with a total installed capacity of 566MW, of which 257MW is attributable to the Group. The annual generation capacity of all 12 wind power plants is above 1.2 billion KWH.
