Emerson appoints Campbell energy VP in Asia Pacific

Emerson Network Power has promoted Ross Campbell as vice president for its Energy Systems business in Asia Pacific.

The former senior director for Emerson’s Telecom business, responsible for key accounts in Asia Pacific, Campbell is now charged with consolidating Emerson’s sales teams across the region, and communicating Emerson’s whole-of-business concept to its Asia Pacific customers.

With more than 17 years’ experience in the telecom industry, Campbell brings with him an exceptional sales track record, a keen understanding of industry issues and a close affinity with Emerson’s customers and their business challenges in a highly competitive market.

Coming from telco industry where organisations source their technology – DC power, precision cooling, power protection and so on – from different suppliers, that often result in inefficiencies across the network, Campbell will fit in his new job as troubleshooter.

"My job is to help our customers identify and eliminate these inefficiencies – to provide them with end-to-end solutions that make better use of their budgets and improve the ROI for their business," Campbell pointed out. "We can do that by introducing network-wide management and control systems that help lower operating expenditure and reduce long-term capital expenditure, not only on new equipment and infrastructure but also from markedly reduced energy bills."

With Asia Pacific being the ‘engine room’ of Emerson’s global R&D and manufacturing, Campbell feels that they have incredible momentum in areas such as hybrid and alternative energy sources that are front-of-mind for large telcos looking to cut costs and reduce their carbon footprints.
