ENVIRONMENT | Napocor gets Mother Nature Award

The Napocor was recognised for its efforts to conserve the natural ecological system in the areas where it operates.

In giving the National Power Corporation or Napocor a 3rd Runner-Up of the Mother Nature Award Category, the Pollution Control Association of the Philippine cited its "outstanding initiative and steadfastness in the implementation of an effective Environmental Management System, with excellent Pollution Control and Environmental Care Programs to conserve natural ecological system in its area of operation."

Ms. Resurreccion L. Petel, Manager of the Napocor's Environmental Management Department, was also cited as one of this year’s Ten Outstanding Pollution Control Officers. This is "in recognition of her achievement and dedication in spearheading her company’s environmental management system and in ensuring compliance to environmental regulations." As Head of the EMD, Ms. Petel has been designated as Napocor's Corporate Pollution Control Officer.
