Tashkent resumes delivery of electricity to Kabul
PROJECT | Tashkent resumes delivery of electricity to Kabul
Delivery of electricity supply from Uzbekistan’s capital to Kabul, capital of Afghanistan, has resumed. According to a report from Eurasianet, the Pul-e-Khumri sub-station located in Northern Afghanistan has been repaired, enabling the resumption.
PowerGrid, an Indian company, executed the repair work through the financing of the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund. The repaired sub-station is part of the transmission system that brings power to Afghanistan's capital.
Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Iran are the other countries that provide electricity to Afghanistan.
